In 2019 actor/ artist Matt Dillon (*1964 in New Rochelle, NY) and painter Marcel Hüppauff (*1972 in Stuttgart) started their artistic collaboration. In irregular intervals, in Hamburg, Rom or New York, side by side at the studio, from afar over the phone. The collaboration involves a continuous exchange about their own works and goes even further, their respective handwriting is transcended in jointly created paintings.
The artist book „Naturama | Against Creativity“ presents linocuts by Matt Dillon and Marcel Hüppauff that were also conceived in a mutual, collective process. They take you on a sentimental journey to a post-pop, apocalyptic world.
